This is a diagram of how the World Wide Web has developed and evolved since its inception in the early '90s. The way we use the internet has changed, and as a result, the way it works has changed too. The internet is much more about communication and sharing now rather than finding and utilising as it was when it started out.

Where will this evolution go next? Well, scary places. Being able to navigate in a virtual world in search of information and interaction, the Web will be more like a new dimension for us to enter and exist in than the on-screen forum we know now.
